These heads were hewn from blocks of sandstone and have been built into walls to form spectacular water features. Both of these pieces are based on the pagan Green Man. The water is circulated from the reservoir back up through the wall and out of a pipe through the mouth of the Green Man.

In the one to the right, the pump is situated in a reservoir within the washhouse behind. The wall that the one below was fitted into was a retaining wall and the piping had to be channeled within the stone in the wall. The pump is in the lower pond beneath the basin.
